  Part prop, part accessory, part toy, the crystal ball that Candy carries is a curiosity. It serves as a focus when she's doing her readings, allowing her to open her mind even more to the varied spirits and entities that communicate with her. She will often focus by performing contact juggling; the controlled movements act as a form of meditation, quick and soothing to her mind. It also serves as a draw, and distraction, to potential clients.
  
  From time to time, there's a glimmer of light within it, a skillful application of foxfire adding to the illusion of different magic.
  
  In reality, the crystal is a star ball, a mysterious item that stores a great deal of Candy's power when she's in a humanoid shape. Should she be separated from it for too long, she'll begin to waste away. Worry, fear, and depression can be symptoms of the missing crystal, and she will be willing to promise anything in order to get it back.
  
  When in her fox form, the crystal is sometimes carried in her mouth, or hidden in the fluff of her tails. It has also been seen masquerading as a charm, for a thin collar. It seems able to shift in size, though never in shape.
  
  Regardless of her shape, the kitsune is always extremely jealous of the simple orb. She will do her best to keep anyone from taking it from her. The only way other are even allowed to look at it closely, or dare to touch it, is when the fox has it very securely held between her fingers. It always seems warm, as though it's been held tightly between her hands.
